On Thursday during camp we will hold a fundraising auction for BHSFS after our New England clambake (pictured at left).  It’s a live auction, emcee’d by a camper who is a talented comedian.  We have a lot of fun bidding on the items that are donated to the auction, which can range from crazy novelty stuff to really nice things.   By participating in the auction you can get some great stuff and donate to a good cause at the same time.  Proceeds of the auction are used to pay for scholarships to BHSFS and, if funds are left over, to underwrite the general costs of the camp.

We encourage all campers to bring items to contribute to the auction.  Anything you have to offer will be appreciated.  Small gag items are always fun.  Some of our more artistic campers make beautiful crafts for the auction.  If you know how to provide a service, like massage or baking, you can contribute a coupon for the service.  If you own a vacation home, you may want to consider contributing a getaway weekend to the auction.  If you have a white elephant you want to get rid of, the auction is the perfect opportunity.  The possibilities are limitless – just use your imagination.

In addition to the live auction, we offer a silent auction with small items that are often donated by our younger campers.
