BHSFS offers scholarships to young campers from ages 13 through 24. Scholarships will be in the range of $100 – $250, depending on the number of requests we receive and are able to fund. In deciding whether to grant a scholarship we may take into consideration musical ability, interest in Scottish traditional music, and/or financial need. The application is here: youth-scholarship-form-2017
Please submit completed applications to the Folk Arts Center office, 10 Franklin Street, Stoneham, MA, 02180, by mail, or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The application deadline is April 1, 2017. Scholarship awards will be announced by May 1, 2017.
BHSFS and the Folk Arts Center reserve the right to determine in their sole and absolute discretion the number of scholarships awarded (if any), the amount of each scholarship, the total amount awarded in scholarships, and the eligibility and selection criteria for scholarships. All scholarship decisions and amounts will be final.
A limited number of partial work exchange positions are available for campers who are at least 18 years old. The average work exchange award is $150. Indicate that you are interested in a work-study position on your camp application and we will contact you with more information.
