PARENTS, PLEASE READ
Boston Harbor Scottish Fiddle School is a family camp for all ages. It is not a youth camp and is not geared specifically toward the needs of children and teens, although they are a vibrant part of our community. To further our family camping philosophy, we require that all campers under the age of 18 be accompanied by an adult.
Parents, we strongly urge you to accompany your child or teen to camp. If you do not play an instrument, this would be a great time to start! Or, take advantage of our attractive companion rate to spend some low-stress time on an island in the sun. If you are not able to attend, you may send your child or teen with another adult of your choosing who agrees to act in your place while at camp. However, we will no longer be using the old “guardian” system where we matched your child with an adult sponsor, and the office will no longer be able to assist with this. Each parent is responsible for determining and enforcing the desired behavioral limitations for his or her own child.
We MUST receive the forms listed below before your child arrives at camp:
Behavior Agreement – All campers between 12 and 17 must agree in writing to obey camp rules and otherwise behave properly while at camp. Their parents must also sign this agreement.
Health Form – All campers under 18 must submit this form with medical and insurance information.
Unaccompanied Child/Teen Form – This form must be submitted for every child and teen who will be at camp without an adult family member. The camper’s parent or guardian must sign the form appointing another adult to be responsible for their camper while at camp, and the appointed adult must also sign.
Please send completed forms to the Folk Arts Center office, 10 Franklin St., Stoneham, MA 02180, by mail or email by July 1, 2017. Our email address is email@example.com.
